Andrew is recognized for providing independent, practical and commercially-focused technical accounting advice across the whole deal lifecycle. He reacts swiftly and reassuringly to meet his clients’ needs, switching from transaction-related advice to bankruptcy and dispute- related support during the current pandemic. His sole focus is to help clients achieve their transactional goals and resolve their accounting-related problems. Andrew has 20 years of experience working on a variety of projects to support a range of corporate transactions, including M&A, securitizations (traditional and synthetic), debt-to-equity swaps, capital reorganization, returns of value, exit strategies including initial public offerings and bankruptcy proceedings. Andrew leads accounting and structuring support on financial buy-side and vendor due diligence engagements across most industries and geographies, advising clients on complex accounting and practical issues under both IFRS and U.S. GAAP. He holds a bachelor’s degree in maths with accounting from the University of Exeter and is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
